Who is DJ Ernie
Born and raised in Ventura, California, DJ Ernie started his DJ career at the young age of 15. Inspired by legendary djs like Richard Vission, Bad Boy Bill, DJ Melo-D, Funkmaster Flex, DJ Q-Bert, The Beat Junkies and so many more. DJ Ernie was determined to learn the craft and become as skillful as the great djs he looked up to.
With over 25 years of experience, DJ Ernie’s has the ability to read and move any crowd. His depth of musical knowledge spans across a wide variety of genres. From Top 40, Hip Hop, Classic Rock, 70s, 80s, 90s, early 2000s, House, Electro, Latin and more.
Some of DJ Ernie’s past accomplishments include working in Radio for 10 years at his local hometown station Q104-7FM from 2005 till 2015. He held down the airwaves mixing live on air on the weekends, shortly after that he was promoted to mix during the primetime slot at 5pm, Monday through Friday during the traffic jam mix called “The 805 Drive”.
While working in radio, DJ Ernie had the opportunity to spin at several concerts and station events, featuring artists like Ying Yang Twinz, Baby Bash, Wiz Khalifa, Mack 10, Suga Free, DJ Quik, Mike Posner, Ed Sheeran, Tyrese, and more.
Aside from radio, DJ Ernie has spun at many nightclubs from Santa Barbara, to Ventura, and Los Angeles.
